Linoleic acid is an unsaturated essential fatty acid with a terminal carboxylic acid group. The carboxylic acid groups can undergo sequential amide coupling reaction with amine-bearing biomolecules in the presence of EDC, HATU and DCC to form stable amide bonds.

mPEG2000C-DMG is a synthetic lipid comprised of polyPEG and dimyristoyl glycerol. It is used in the creation of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) for mRNA vaccines.

DBCO-PEG8-amine TFA salt is a PEG linker which contains DBCO and amine moieties. The DBCO group is commonly used in copper-free Click Chemistry reactions. The amine group is reactive with carboxylic acids, activated NHS esters, carbonyls (ketone, aldehyde) etc. The hydrophilic PEG spacer increases the water solubility of the compound.
