Recombinant mononucleosomes (H3K79me2) consist of 147 base pairs of DNA wrapped around an octamer core of histone proteins (two each of H2A, H2B, H3.1, and H4) to form a nucleosome, the basic repeating unit of chromatin. The 147 bp 601 sequence, identified by Lowary and Widom [1], has high affinity for histone octamers and is useful for nucleosome assembly. H3K79me2 dNuc contains dimethylated lysine at position 79 on histone H3.1.

The Streptavidin-Biotin (SA-Biotin) system has a wide range of applications in the biological field due to its extremely high binding affinity (K = 10^-15). TargetMol's Streptavidin Agarose 6FF is an affinity chromatography medium in which Streptavidin is attached to agarose beads and can be used for the purification of biotin or biotinylated proteins, antibodies and more. Due to the extremely high affinity between streptavidin and biotin, denaturing conditions are usually required for elution. Streptavidin, on the other hand, has a weaker affinity for iminobiotin, binds in the pH 9.5-11.0 range, and elutes at pH 4.0 without the need for denaturants, thus better preserving the activity of the affinity coupler. TargetMol's Streptavidin Agarose 6FF uses a highly cross-linked 6% agarose matrix that allows it to withstand high flow rates and has good chemical stability, making it ideal for large-scale purification.
