Multiplex protein assays allow multiple targets quantification in a single sample, a bit like performing up to 40 different ELISAs in one go. Outsourcing Multiplex Protein Quantification projects to experts may work out more cost effective and time saving. It saves you the hassle of setting up a new technology in your lab, and you can rely on people with years of expertise in the technology to generate quality data on the very first run. Should you wish to set it up in your own lab, some technologies are easily adaptable if you have access to the equipment.
tebu-bio’s biomarker platform (based near Paris) offers several complementary solutions to fit every need you may have in terms of protein quantitation and profiling. In this post, I’ll focus on the Multiplex Quantification platform, offering 2 technologies to fit every requirement you may have in terms of protein family, sample type and species models.
Multiplex Protein Assay: ELISA format
For multiple quantification of up to 20 cytokines/chemokines simultaneously, in human, mouse or rat samples, on serum or EDTA plasma, our Multiplex ELISA platform will be best suited, especially for a large number of samples. It’s a robust, highly specific assay showing less than 1% intra-panel cross-reactivity.
Multiplex catalogue plates: a few examples
- Human Cytokines 6 Plex: IL-6, IL-8, TNFα, IFN-γ, IL-4, IL-10
- Mouse 14 Plex: IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-3, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12p70, IL-17, MCP-1,TNFα, MIP-1α, GMCSF, RANTES
- Rat Inflammation 9 Plex: IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12p70, IFN-γ, TNF-α
Multiplex Plate Customization
For Human targets, you can choose from over 130 proteins including
30 cytokines and 6 MMPs, Adiponectin, CRP, Eotaxin, Ghrelin, p-selectin, resistin, TIMP-1, TIMP-2… They only take 2 weeks to be produced (while catalogue plates are readily in stock). Just add an extra 2 weeks for the full service and report.
Multiplex Protein Assay: Antibody array
If the target list available for our Multiplex ELISA does not cover your proteins of interest, if you work with more « exotic » samples or species, if you just have only a few samples to study or if you wish to do it youserself, our Quantitative Array platform will be best suited.
It offers a broader choice of protein targets (up to 1000 human, 640 mouse and 67 rat proteins to choose from) and can accommodate any type of sample (serum, plasma, culture supernatant, any biological fluid, cell and tissue lysates); it’s easily customizable and available for over 15 species. With 4 duplicate identical antibody spots per target, no need for technical replicates will save you some sample.
