The SMYD2 Chemiluminescent Assay Kit is designed to measure SMYD2 activity for screening and profiling applications. The key to the SMYD2 Chemiluminescent Assay Kit is a highly specific antibody that recognizes a methylated residue of Histone H3. With this kit, only three simple steps are required for methyltransferase detection. First, S-adenosylmethionine is incubated with a sample containing assay buffer and the SMYD2 methyltransferase enzyme. Next, primary antibody is added. Finally, the plate is treated with an HRP-labeled secondary antibody followed by addition of the HRP substrate to produce chemiluminescence that can then be measured using a chemiluminescence reader.

Biotinylated histone H4 peptide (a.a. 1-21) asymmetrically di-methylated at Arginine 3. It also contains a C-terminal GG linker, followed by a biotinylated Lys.

This peptide is histone H4 (1-23) monomethylated at Arg3 followed by a biotinylated Lys conjugated to a C-terminal GG linker. Methylation of Arg3 is catalyzed by PRMT1 and functions to promote p300 acetylation of histone H4.

A peptide substrate for Histone 3, K4,K9 methyltransferases. The peptide corresponds to residues 1-21 of histone H3.

Histone H3 Peptide, a.a. 1-21, biotin conjugated. This sequence corresponds to the first 21 amino acids of the NH2 terminal of histone H3 followed by a GG linker and a biotinylated lysine.

S-adenosyl homocysteine conjugated to fluorescein.

A peptide substrate for Histone 4 R3 methyltransferases. The peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1-21 of histone H4.

A peptide substrate for Histone 3 K27 methyltransferases. The peptide corresponds to residues 21-44 of histone H3.

Histone H3 Peptide, biotin conjugated. The peptide corresponds to residues 21-44 of histone H3.
