Diamond Ready-to-Use DNA Ladder 250-25kbp is a unique combination of a number of proprietary plasmids digested with appropriate restriction enzymes and PCR products to yield 14 fragments, suitable for use as molecular weight standards for agarose gel electrophoresis. The DNA includes fragments ranging from 250-25K base pairs. The 1K and 3K bands have increased intensity to serve as reference points. The approximate mass of DNA in each band is provided (0.52 μg a load) for approximating the mass of DNA in comparably intense samples of similar size.
Opal Prestained Protein Standard 10-180kDa is a three-color protein standard with 10 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range molecular weights for 10 to 180kDa. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) made visible when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer). Opal Prestained Protein Standard 10-180kDa is designed for monitoring protein separated during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western blot transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon , or nitrocellulose) and for approximate sizing of proteins.
Opal Prestained Protein Standard 10-245kDa is a three-color protein standard with 12 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range molecular weights from 10 to 245 kDa. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) made visible when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer). Opal Prestained Protein Standard 10-245kDa is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western blot transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose) and for approximating the size of proteins.
Opal Prestained Protein Standard 3.5-245kDa is a three-color protein standard with 13 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range molecular weights from 3.5 to 245 kDa. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore except for two reference bands (one green and one red band at 25 kDa and 75 kDa respectively) made visible when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer). Opal Prestained Protein Standard 3.5-245kDa is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western blot transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose) and for approximating the size of proteins.
Sapphire Prestained Protein Standard 10-180kDa is a blue protein standard with 11 pre-stained proteins covering a wide range molecular weights from 10 to180 kDa. Proteins are covalently coupled with a blue chromophore, and two reference bands (at 25 kDa and 72 kDa respectively) are enhanced in intensity when separated on SDS-PAGE (Tris-glycine buffer). Sapphire Prestained Protein Standard 10-180kDa is designed for monitoring protein separation during SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, verification of Western blot transfer efficiency on membranes (PVDF, nylon, or nitrocellulose) and for approximating the size of proteins.
Epitope tags are short peptide sequences easily recognized by tag-specific antibodies. Due to their small size, epitope tags do not affect the tagged protein’s biochemical properties. Most often sequences encoding the epitope tag are included with target DNA at the time of cloning to produce fusion proteins. This allows anti-epitope tag antibodies to serve as universal detection reagents for any tag containing protein produced by recombinant means.

BCIP/NBT (5-Bromo-4-chloro-3'-indolyphosphate p-toluidine salt/Nitro blue tetrazolium chloride) is utilized in combination as a chromogenic substrate for alkaline phosphatase (AP) in various applications, including WB and IHC. The reaction produces an insoluble dark purple/blue precipitate. This substrate is particularly useful for chromogenic detection in blotting and in situ hybridization assays due to its high sensitivity and resolution.
