20-(Bromoacetamido-PEG5-ethylcarbamoyl)nonadecanoic-t-butyl ester is a PEG linker with a bromine and an alkane tail that has a terminal t-butyl ester group. The bromine (Br) can be used as a leaving group for nucleophilic substitution reactions. The t-butyl group can be deprotected under acidic conditions. The polymer can form micelles spontaneously in water. It may also be used to prepare more complex lipids for nanoparticles for drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
