Cholesterol-PEG-Acid, MW 1,000 is an amphiphatic PEGylation polymer which can be used for liposome preparation. The cholesterol tail can be used to efficiently encapsulate hydrophobic molecules while the PEG chain maintains overall water solubility of the reagent. The carboxylic acid is reactive with amine in the presence of activator, such as HATU or edc, to form a stable amide bond. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
