Animal-Free Recombinant Human Oncostatin M (209 a.a.) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167AF-300-10T). Oncostatin M (OSM) is a growth and differentiation factor that participates in the regulation of neurogenesis, osteogenesis and hematopoiesis. Produced by activated T cells, monocytes and Kaposi's sarcoma cells, OSM can exert both stimulatory and inhibitory effects on cell proliferation. It stimulates the proliferation of fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells and Kaposi's sarcoma cells, but inhibits the growth of some normal and tumor cell lines. It also promotes cytokine release (e.g. IL-6, GM-CSF and G-CSF) from endothelial cells, and enhances the expression of low-density lipoprotein receptors in hepatoma cells. OSM shares several structural and functional characteristics with LIF, IL-6, and CNTF. Human OSM is active on murine cells. The human OSM gene encodes for a 252 amino acid polypeptide, containing 25 amino acid signal sequence for secretion and a 227 precursor protein. Proteolytic pro

Animal-Free Recombinant Human GRO-alpha/MGSA (CXCL1) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167AF-300-11). All three isoforms of GRO are CXC chemokines that can signal through the CXCR1 or CXCR2 receptors. The GRO proteins chemoattract and activate neutrophils and basophils. GRO/MGSA also stimulates mitogenesis in certain human melanoma cells. Recombinant Human GRO-alpha/MGSA is a 7.8 kDa protein consisting of 73 amino acids, including the 'ELR' motif common to the CXC chemokine family that binds to CXCR1 or CXCR2.

Animal-Free Recombinant Human MCP-2 (CCL8) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167AF-300-15). The MCP proteins are members of the CC chemokine family that signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross-reacts across species. Recombinant Human MCP-2 (CCL8) is an 8.9 kDa protein containing 76 amino acid residues including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.

Animal-Free Recombinant Human Eotaxin (CCL11) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167AF-300-21). Eotaxin is a CC chemokine that signals through the CCR3 receptor. It is produced by IFN-gamma-stimulated endothelial cells and TNF-activated monocytes. Eotaxin selectively chemoattracts eosinophils and, along with Eotaxin-2 and Eotaxin-3, plays a key role in the regulation of eosinophil recruitment in the asthmatic lung and in allergic reactions. Recombinant Human Eotaxin is an 8.3 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.

Animal-Free Recombinant Human Leptin (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167AF-300-27). Encoded by the ob (obese) gene, Leptin is an adipose-derived cytokine that suppresses appetite and increases thermogenesis. Leptin exerts its anorectic effect via signaling through a hypothalamic receptor termed OB-R. Leptin has been shown to reduce body weight, food consumption, and plasma glucose levels in various in vivo models. Recombinant Human Leptin is a 16.0 kDa protein containing 147 amino acid residues.
