CD70 (Cluster of Differentiation 70) is a protein that in humans is encoded by CD70 gene. CD70 is a ligand for CD27. The CD70-CD27 pathway plays an important role in the generation and maintenance of T cell immunity, in particular during antiviral responses. Upon CD27 binding, induces the proliferation of costimulated T-cells and enhances the generation of cytolytic T-cells.The CD70 protein is expressed on highly activated lymphocytes (like in T- and B-cell lymphomas). It is therefore suggested that anti-CD70 antibodies might be a possible treatment for CD70 positive lymphomas as normal lymphocytes have low CD70 expression.

DNAM-1 (DNAX accessory molecule-1), also known as CD226, platelet and T cell activation antigen 1 (PTA1) and TLiSA1, is a member of the Ig superfamily containing two Ig-like domains of the V set and is encoded by a gene on human chromosome 18q22.3. DNAM-1 is an activating receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, CD8+ T cells, and other immune cells. Upon recognition of its ligands, CD155 and CD112, DNAM-1 promotes NK cell–mediated elimination of transformed and virus-infected cells. It also has a key role in expansion and maintenance of virus-specific memory NK cells. DNAM-1 is the cell surface receptor of NECTIN2. Upon ligand binding, it stimulates T cell proliferation and cytokine production, including that of IL2, IL5, IL10, IL13 and IFNG.

CD226 (Cluster of Differentiation 226), also known as PTA1 (outdated term, 'platelet and T cell activation antigen 1')[5] or DNAM-1 (DNAX Accessory Molecule-1), is a ~65 kDa glycoprotein expressed on the surface of natural killer cells, platelets, monocytes and a subset of T cells. It is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. This protein is involved in intercellular adhesion, lymphocyte signaling, cytotoxicity and lymphokine secretion mediated by cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) and NK cell. It is the cell surface receptor for NECTIN2 and its main ligands are CD112 and CD155. It stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, including that of IL-2, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13, and IFNγ upon ligand binding.

Nectin-2, also known as CD112 (Cluster of Differentiation 226) and PVRL2 (Poliovirus receptor-related 2), is a human plasma membrane glycoprotein. This protein is a modulator of T-cell signaling and can be either a costimulator of T-cell function or a coinhibitor, depending on the receptor it binds to. Upon binding to CD226, it stimulates T-cell proliferation and cytokine production, including that of IL-2, IL-5, IL-10, IL-13, and IFNγ. It can also inhibit T-cell proliferation upon interaction with PVRIG. Nectin-2 also acts as a receptor for herpes simplex virus 1 (HHV-1) mutant Rid1, herpes simplex virus 1 (HHV-2) and pseudorabies virus (PRV).
