It can self assemble in water to form micelles where the hydrophilic PEG is facing the water and the hydrophobic stearic acid tail is being shielded from the water in the interior. The amphiphilic polymer can be used for preparation of nanoparticles in drug delivery application. The fluorescent rhodamine can be easily located tracked by fluorescence microscopy.
