McCoy's 5A Medium is used in the culture of primary cells, such as bone marrow, skin, gingiva, kidney, spleen, lung, rat embryo, omentum, and also used for tissue biopsy culture, the establishment of cell line, and the culture of some lymphocytes and more difficult cells.

Ham's F-12 Medium is often used as a basic culture medium for serum-free culture, and is especially suitable for single-cell culture and clonal culture at low serum content, and is also widely used in the culture of cancer cells and primary cells after adding serum, such as rat liver cells, rat prostate epithelial cells, chondrocytes, rat myoblasts, chicken embryonic cells, etc.

Ham's F-12K Medium is used in the culture of primary human hepatocytes and differentiated cells of rats and chickens.

RPMI-1640 Medium is used in the culture of normal cells and cancer cells.
