Recommended counterstain when a more intense DAPI stain is desired. Provides more distinct DAPI banding patterns than achievable with <b>DAPI Counterstain (1500 ng/mL)</b> in certain applications such as staining of nuclear DNA in paraffin sections.
DAPI is a nuclear and chromosome counterstain, it emits blue fluorescence upon binding to AT regions of DNA. Although the dye is cell impermeant, higher concentrations will enter a live cell.
