CAY10641 (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37831). Cytosolic phospholipase A2α (cPLA2α) specifically catalyzes the hydrolysis of arachidonic acid from thesn-2-ester position of membrane phospholipids, playing a central role in initiating the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, both important mediators of the inflammatory process.1CAY10641 is an inactive alcohol derivative of a highly potent (IC50= 12 nM) cPLA2α inhibitor.2The parent compound demonstrates strong anti-inflammatory effects when applied topically at a dose of 0.1 mg/ear in a mouse model of acute irritant contact dermatitis.2CAY10641 is rapidly cleared from the blood stream (only 0.5 μg/ml remains 30 minutes after 10 mg/kg intravenous administration to mice).2However, no other biological effects have been reported.

CAY10761 (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37832). CAY10761 is an inhibitor of ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 1 (ENPP1; IC50s = 467 and 429 μM for the human and snake venom enzymes, respectively).1,2 It also inhibits mushroom tyrosinase (Ki = 1.9 μM) and urease from jack bean, P. mirabilis, and B. pasteurii (IC50s = 0.093, <0.125, and 0.089 mM, respectively, at pH 8.2).3,4

G3-CNP (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37834). G3-CNP is a colorimetric substrate for α-amylases.1Upon hydrolysis by α-amylases, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenol is released which can be quantified by colorimetric detection at 405 nm as a measure of enzyme activity. G3-CNP has been used to characterize the activity of human pancreatic or salivary amylase.

2-Chloro-4-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37835). Carbohydrates conjugated with 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl (CNP) serve as chromogenic substrates in assays for enzymes that release CNP from the conjugated carbohydrate. For example, CNP-β-D-maltoheptaoside and CNP-α-maltotrioside are chromogenic substrates for α-amylase. 2-Chloro-4-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside is a conjugate of CNP and α-D-glucose. The related conjugate between CNP and β-D-glucose, 2-chloro-4-nitrophenyl β-D-glucopyranoside, is used as a chromogenic substrate for glycosyltransferases. This product is a chromogenic substrate for enzymes that target the linkage between CNP and α-D-glucose.

2-Methylhexacosane (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37837). 2-Methylhexacosane is a saturated hydrocarbon and an insect pheromone. It has been found in the cuticle of M. dasystomus females, but not males, contributing to the mating behavior of males, as well as in D. melanogaster females where it modulates male aggression. 2-Methylhexacosane has also been found in yellow jacket (V. vulgaris) trail extracts.

20-hydroxy Prostaglandin E2 (Legacy Tebubio ref. 282T37839). 20-hydroxy Prostaglandin E2 (20-hydroxy PGE2) is a product of cytochrome P450 metabolism of PGE2 . ω-Oxidation at C-20 followed by β-oxidation and the loss of up to four carbons from the lower side chain is a prominent metabolic pathway for PGE2. 20-hydroxy PGE2 is the putative first intermediate in this chain of chemical transformations.
