Recombinant Rat IL-6 (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167400-06). IL-6 is a pleiotropic cytokine that plays an important role in host defense by regulating immune and inflammatory responses. Produced by T cells, monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells and keratinocytes, IL-6 has diverse biological functions. It stimulates B cell differentiation and antibody production, synergizes with IL-3 in megakaryocyte development and platelet production, induces expression of hepatic acute-phase proteins, and regulates bone metabolism. IL-6 signals through the IL-6 receptor system that consists of two chains, IL-6R alpha and gp130. Murine IL-6 is inactive on human cells, while both human and murine are equally active on murine cells. Recombinant Rat IL-6 is a 21.7 kDa protein containing 188 amino acid residues.

Recombinant Rat MIP-1beta (CCL4) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167400-09). Both MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines. They participate in host response to invading bacterial, viral, parasite and fungal pathogens by regulating the trafficking and activation state of selected subgroups of inflammatory cells (e.g. macrophages, lymphocytes and NK cells). While both MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta exert similar effects on monocytes, their effect on lymphocytes differ; with MIP-1alpha selectively attracting CD8+ lymphocytes, and MIP-1beta selectively attracting CD4+ lymphocytes. Additionally, MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta have also been shown to be potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils and dendritic cells. Both human and murine MIP-1alpha and MIP-1beta are active on human and murine hematopoietic cells. Recombinant Rat MIP-1beta is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 69 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC ch

Recombinant Rat GRO/KC (CXCL1) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167400-10). All three isoforms of GRO are CXC chemokines that can signal through the CXCR1 or CXCR2 receptors. The GRO proteins chemoattract and activate neutrophils and basophils. Recombinant Rat GRO/KC is a 7.8 kDa protein consisting of 72 amino acids, including the 'ELR' motif common to the CXC chemokine family that binds to CXCR1 or CXCR2.

Recombinant Rat MCP-1 (CCL2) (Legacy Tebubio ref. 167400-12). The MCP proteins are members of the CC chemokine family that signal through CCR2 and, with the exception of MCP-1, other CCR receptors. The MCP proteins chemoattract and activate monocytes, activated T cells, basophils, NK cells, and immature dendritic cells. The MCP family cross-reacts across species. Recombinant Rat MCP-1 is a 14.0 kDa protein containing 125 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in the CC chemokines.
