sn-1-Biotin-Labeled Monolysocardiolipin (Biotin-monolysocardiolipin) can be used in microplate and bead-based assays and affinity experiments. Cardiolipin (CL) is an important component inprokaryotic and in eukaryotic inner mitochondrial membranes. In humans CL is made by cardiolipin synthase from phosphatidylglycerol and cytidinediphosphate-diacylglycerol. Monolysocardiolipin is an intermediate in CL remodeling and acetyl transferase tafazzin mutations impairing linoleic acid transfer to MCL are considered the main reason of Barth syndrome. Autoantibodies to CL have been found in patients with anti-phospholipid syndrome and lupus.

Glycerophosphoinositol (GroPI) is the building block for phosphoinositide polyphosphates and is a substrate for PI-PLC.Phosphoinositides (PIPns) are minor components of cellular membranes but are integral signaling molecules for cellular communication. Phosphatidylinositol (PI or PtdIns) is biosynthesized from CDP-diacylglycerol and inositol by phosphatidylinositol synthase. PI is the building block for phosphoinositide polyphosphates through phosphorylation by PI-kinases and is a substrate for PI-PLC yielding diacylgelycerol.Bulk discounts available please email echelon@echelon-inc.com for information.

1-Palmitoyl-2-hydroxy-sn-glycero-3-phosphoinositol (16:0 LysoPI LPI) is a synthetic purified palmitoyl PI.Lysophospholipids are lipid mediators which elicit a diverse array of cellular responses through activation of phospholipid specific G protein-coupled receptors. Lysophosphatidylinositol (LPI) induces a number of cellular effects through binding to the GPR55 receptor including angiogenesis bone morphogenesis cancer progression and pain. In addition LPI is thought to be a biomarker for certain cancers.
