1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-PE is a phospholipid that is a major component of the lipid bilayer that surrounds cells and provides stability to the membrane. The redox potential of 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-PE is high enough to allow it to participate in oxidation reactions. 1,2-Dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-PE can be used as a reaction mechanism for synthesizing glycosylated proteins or lipids. Reagent grade, for research use only.

08:0 PC, 1,2-Dioctanoyl PC is a synthetic analog of natural phosphatidylcholine species containing saturated C8:O fatty acids in the sn-1 and sn-2 positions of the glycerol backbone. 1,2-Dioctanoyl PC is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed by hydrochloric acid to form 1,2-dioctanoylglycerol. The fatty acid chain of t1,2-Dioctanoyl PC has been shown to be a PGP substrate and an inhibitor of PGP. As an inhibitor, 1,2-Dioctanoyl PC blocks the efflux of certain substrates from cells. Reagent grade, for research use only.

Cholesteryl Oleate is a cholesterol ester. The liver is a primary source of cholesteryl oleate, esterified form cholesterol, that enriches the LDL particles when released into plasma. The secretion of lipoproteins enriched with cholesteryl oleate has close correlation with the pathogenesis of coronary artery atherosclerosis. Cholesteryl Oleate has been used in the generation of nanoparticles and liposomes for drug delivery. Reagent grade, for research use only.
