IMDM is a Classic Basic Medium from Innovative Research. IMDM (Iscove’s Modified Dulbecco Medium) is an improved version of DMEM medium, designed for the culture of erythrocyte progenitor cells and macrophages. It contains selenium, HEPES, sodium pyruvate and additional amino acids and vitamins, as well as potassium nitrate instead of iron nitrate, which is beneficial for rapid proliferation and high-density cell culture. IMDM is capable of culturing cells with special nutritional requirements such as mouse B lymphocytes, stimulated B cells stimulated by LPS, bone marrow hematopoietic cells, T lymphocytes and various hybridoma cells. It can also be used as a base solution for some unique serum-free medium. Although the product contains many necessary ingredients for cell culture, it does not contain protein, lipids or any growth factors, and therefore should be used with serum or serum-free additives.
